Real Time Clock is a feature on the R7 display-model portable radio that will provide the user with an accurate time display. When configured correctly, the radio will get time information from either GNSS or NTP broadcast information from the Capacity Max network on which it is affiliated. If neither are available, the date and time can be set manually.[1]

Time Format

This sets how the time will be displayed on the radio - either 12-hour (01:48 PM) or 24-hour (e.g. 13:48).

Date Format

This sets how the date will be displayed on the radio - either day month year (e.g. 26/01/2024) or month day year (e.g. 01/26/2024).

Time Source

This defines where the radio should source its time from. If set to Automatic, the radio will get time information from either GNSS or NTP broadcast information from the Capacity Max network on which it is affiliated. When getting time from the network, the assumption is that there is a NTP server somewhere. If set to manual, the date and time can be programmed into the radio and it will use the internal real time click and battery to preserve this.

Timezone
