Display-model MOTOTRBO radios have the ability to briefly display an image when powering on. There are specific requirements for this image and its parameters depend on which model it is to be used. The image is loaded into the radio using CPS or Radio Management.[1]
The file format is Bitmap (.BMP).
Model Range | Width | Height | Colours |
---|---|---|---|
DM4400 and DM4400e | 160 | 72 | 256 |
DP3661; DP3661e; DP4600e; DP4800 and DP4800e | 132 | 90 | 256 |
DP4600 (monochrome display) | 132 | 72 | - |
SL4000 and SL4000e | 320 | 240 | 16-bit (R5-G6-B5) |
R7 | 240 | 320 | 16-bit (R5-G6-B5) |
Note that when the welcome image is used, the radio name text will not be displayed during the power up sequence. In CPS/RM, clicking Remove will cause the radio to use no image at all.
Models which do not support a welcome bitmap.
- First generation MOTOTRBO models (e.g. DP3600 DM3600).
- DM1600
- DM2600
- SL2600
- ION does support a welcome image in the same way as the radios in the above table do, but it is possible to configure a background and lock screen image from the Android user interface or via a MDM.
