Howdy! I'm a PCR Advanced Technology Specialist that primarily deals with MOTOTRBO system Wireline integrations, and Avigilon ACC/ACM deployments. Wiki me I'm a Wiki editor and bureaucrat here since 29th of November, 2021. Past me I started teaching myself MOTOTRBO back in 2012 when the 1.0 family was exiting its prime and the 2.0 family was being life-cycled in. It all started when I was browsing online auctions as a teen and "accidently" bought a surplus lot of XPR 6550s and an XPR 8400 repeater. Of course, when the lot arrived, I had no clue how to program them or what to do. After many long hours of reading and countless web-searches, I decided to sign-up for an MOL account and buy CPS as a download; this is what started my home lab. Over the course of the following year, I learned about FCC (US) licensing and got licensed as a radio "rental business." I then bought a UHF duplexer, Capacity Plus repeater license, a CommScope DB-404 antenna, and three new XPR 7550 to further my experimentation. I finally bought Radio Management from MOL and taught myself OTAP before coming full circle and using free online control room application demos (TRBOnet and SmartPTT) to teach myself wireline console integrations. I was picked up a few years down the TRBO road by a local Channel Partner, and had the opportunity to learn from Motorola's classes how many more MOTOTRBO systems work.
