TX Disable
TX Disable a standard feature in certain MOTOTRBO radios. This feature prevents a radio from accidentally transmitting. When enabled by the user, all LMR RF TX functionality is lost, with the exception of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
This feature is useful in combat situations where radio-silence must be observed or in situations where the RF could set-off some event due to EMF. In the case of the former, the adversary could use things like Radio Check; Location requests or Remote Monitor to get a targeted radio to transmit. These transmissions would allow them to find the radio's location using RDF techniques.
When turned on, all other functionality remains unchanged. The user will receive a bonk tone when pressing PTT while TX Disable is turned on.
