DMR Tier II covers licensed conventional radio systems, mobile and portable two-way radios operating in the 66–960 MHz frequency band. The ETSI DMR Tier II standard is targeted at those users who need spectral efficiency, advanced voice features and data in licensed bands for high-power communications. There are a number of DMR Tier II compliant products on the market. In 2015, Motorola Solutions shipped the 4-millionth DMR radio.
Simplex; Single Site and IP Site Connect are all examples of DMR Tier II system topologies from Motorola Solutions.
