Four radios are operating on a repeater (duplex) channel. The users are able to communicate with each other by selecting the appropriate channel. Here Radio 1 and 3 can talk to each other, and at the same time, Radio 2 and 4 can talk to each other since they are on a different timeslot to Radio 1 and 3. Note the transmit and receive frequencies are different and swapped on the repeater to achieve this.
